Taavar Lamp

During my San Francisco years, I acquired an old DVD tower that had been left on the street. Years later I finally used it as lamp shades for this Oak & Mahogony floor lamp. The profile angle and the horizontal banding of the shades helped inform the design of the two tone wood configuration. Two light sources configured identically with their respective wood support & shade are flipped and rotated off of one another yielding a design that is symmetrical in plan while being asymmetrical in elevation.
