This was built this for a good friend of mine from going back to my college days in Florida. I took an Ikea stainless steel task lamp with a flexible tube steel neck. Combined with the neck of a second one of these lamps, I integrated the steel with a brown/black painted curved wood frame. The steel protrudes from the base and curves back to the top to pick up the curvature of the wood as it extends out to the light.
